Are You a Young Person with Autism Ready to Build Confidence & Prepare for Your Future?
Take the First Step Towards a More Independent Future
NDIS-Funded Support to Build Life Skills, Confidence & Real-World Readiness
Leaving school and thinking about the future can feel overwhelming — for both young people and their families. Knowing what comes next, how to build independence, how to prepare for adult life, and how to find a job isn’t always clear. For young people on the autism spectrum, challenges like anxiety, low confidence, and communication difficulties can make this transition even harder.
With the right support, hundreds of young people have already built confidence, developed real-life skills, and become more independent — feeling better prepared for everyday life, further education, and future work opportunities. As these skills grow, they often feel more comfortable engaging with others, making decisions, and taking positive steps towards their future.
This is exactly what Autism Futures helps young people aged 15–25 achieve through personalised, one-on-one NDIS-funded support.

A Future Full of Possibilities
Every young person has strengths, abilities, and potential — even if they’re not always easy to see at first. They deserve to feel confident, capable, and excited about their future. While every journey is different, growth, independence, and fulfilment are possible with the right support.
There’s nothing more powerful than seeing a young person grow in confidence, believe in themselves, and begin to navigate the world more independently. We’ve seen young people develop real-life skills and take meaningful steps towards independence — often in ways their families once thought were out of reach.
What once felt overwhelming can become achievable — building friendships, making decisions, participating in the community, and moving forward with greater confidence.
With the right support, these changes are possible — and this is exactly what Autism Futures helps young people achieve every day.
Meet Liam — From Uncertainty to Independence
After finishing school, Liam, a young person on the autism spectrum, felt unsure about his future and lacked confidence in his abilities. With the right support, he began building communication skills, becoming more independent, and feeling more comfortable in new environments.
As his confidence grew, Liam completed a short internship with a local business, gaining real-world experience and a strong sense of achievement. Today, he’s working in a part-time role, feeling proud of how far he’s come and more confident about his future.
